Figures released yesterday by the Investment Association (25 January 2016) show that net retail ethical fund sales reached a new high in 2015, with sales of £715 million.
The Investment Association website states the following:
ETHICAL FUNDS
Some additional thoughts from sriServices:
Whilst it is excellent news that retail sales have reached a new high it is also somewhat disappointing to see that this figure remains stubbornly stuck at 1.2% of total retail sales.
The IA’s figures do not represent the whole market of course but although welcome – these figures indicate that there remains much work to be done to grow this area given that without doubt far more than 1.2% of people are interested in ethical, sustainable and socially responsible investment.
