What did Fund EcoMarket users search for in Q1 2020

Of 13,007 total events (ie individual clicks on filter options) during Q1 2020 (1 January to 31 March) the list below shows those ranked in the top 50 searches.

Once again, this demonstrates the breadth of information sought by financial advisers and others with an interest in sustainable, responsible and ethical investment (SRI) and points to the wide range of information that is needed in order to make well informed investment decisions.

Commenting on the results Fund EcoMarket founder Julia Dreblow added:

‘the message here is clear.  Once again, there is no single filter field that is predominantly used by fund EcoMarket users as in practice the investment community needs a combination of ‘conventional financial’ and ‘ethical/sustainable’ type information in order to make decisions.

In terms of the SRI Styles people are looking for  ‘Sustainability themed’ and ‘Environmentally themed’ have the highest search levels.  In terms of individual issues searched ‘Avoids coal, oil and gas majors’ is ahead of the pack (#8), with more  traditional ethical concerns again not far behind as opposition to armaments and tobacco production both also feature in the top 15 searches.’
